The Noise of Rail Transport

چکیده
Abstract The research examines the sources of rail transport noise. Noise depends on type locomotives, warning signals, maintenance, and construction equipment. wheel–to–rail contact rolling stock locomotives’ propulsion systems are noise sources. Static dynamic loads have intensities that depend masses speeds trainsets. In addition, static, stock, thermal loads, action rainwater stress ballast. stresses lead to tensions can affect fatigue, wear tear, railway line maintenance. Fatigue related intensity traffic traffic, developing an abrasive wheels contributing rail-to-rail misalignment concerning underlying

Rail Transport and Energy Consumption
This paper attempts to portray the present unstable situation of handling passengers and freight inside Iran as well as to represent a clear view of the rail transport features that have given this mode of transport a special place among the transport system. In this paper the rate of fuel consumption as a main pivotal item has been evaluated as well as the amount and cost of fuel economized th...
متن کاملRail roughness and rolling noise in tramways
Companies which manage railway networks have to cope continually with the problem of operating safety and maintenance intervention issues related to rail surface irregularities. A lot of experience has been gained in recent years in railway applications but the case of tramways is quite different; in this field there are no specific criteria to define any intervention on rail surface restoratio...
متن کاملRail System Noise and Vibration Control
Control of noise and vibration emitted by steel wheel and rail transportation systems has a long history of designs and techniques, some of which were dismal failures and some which worked very well. Many of the early efforts had a valid technical base for the design, however, there were also many based on intuition or ideas with great expectations, but which had no real technical basis. In the...
